What authentic ruqyah is
- Recite Quran and authentic supplications while believing that Allah ﷻ alone heals and protects.
- Al-Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi and the last three surahs are central texts used for protection and healing.
- A person may recite over themselves and family; sincerity is not measured by dramatic reactions.
Morning, evening and sleep
- Maintain the authentic morning and evening adhkar consistently.
- Recite Ayat al-Kursi before sleep and recite al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq and al-Nas, blowing into the hands and wiping the body.
- Use the established duas when entering the home, eating, travelling and seeking refuge for children.
Illness and professional care
- Ruqyah complements—not replaces—medical and mental-health assessment and treatment.
- Seek urgent help for danger, severe symptoms, self-harm, psychosis or abuse.
- Do not automatically label unexplained illness as jinn, magic or evil eye.
Avoid superstition and exploitation
- Fortune-telling, calling upon spirits and believing an object independently protects are forbidden.
- Avoid unknown symbols, incantations with unclear meaning, abusive treatment, isolation, huge fees and anyone demanding secrecy or inappropriate contact.
- A trustworthy helper uses clear Quran/Sunnah, protects dignity and never guarantees results or claims knowledge of the unseen.
